The loss of distribution networks caused by various electrical motors including transformers and generators can significantly affect the efficiency economical operation power grid, especially for new systems with high penetration renewable energies. In this paper, potential using an energy storage system (ESS) reduction is investigated, where a novel two-stage method key-bus selection ESS scheduling proposed. At first stage, most sensitive key buses to variation load are selected factors (LSF) method. second conducted solving optimization problem uncertainties energies, characterized confidence levels. optimal locations, capacities, working modes obtained at stage. effectiveness proposed demonstrated via numerical simulations. influences capacities levels respect also analyzed. It that loss-reduction performances be improved if ESSs deployed on LSF operated under developed
